Yesterday I finished reading If I stay by Gayle Forman and I just couldn't not write a review.
The book turned out to be a lot shorter than I originally thought and I found myself whizzing through it and quickly arriving towards the last page.
If you don't already know then If I stay follows a teenage girl called Mia who one snowy February morning is involved in a major car accident with her two parents and younger brother, Teddy. She just about survives but is in a coma which leaves her to make the biggest choice she will ever make.
This book made me smile, laugh but mostly cry. After I finished reading this book it left me so shocked and emotional that I just sat there for the next ten minutes thinking everything through. I then had an urge to immediately start reading the sequel so I am currently 60 pages in and quite enjoying it.
There was one thing which I was slightly disappointed with though and that was the writing. Loads of people who have read this book have said that the writing is amazing and one of the best that they've read, but I didn't really see that. Apart from that I really enjoyed this book and I would recommend you read it if you haven't already.
