If you've seen my other wrap-ups that have been posted recently, then you will know that I got really behind on wrap-ups and I am now catching up. If you haven't read the recent ones I've posted, I'll link them at the end.
really didn't read many books in September or October as I was still sort of in a reading slump. However, in October I also re-downloaded Wattpad, so I've also got some Wattpad books I'll mention at the end. Anyway, so long story short I decided to link September and October together and have a bit of a longer post.
Anyway, here's my September-October Wrap-Up!
Rhodi's Light by Megan Linski
Date Started - 1/9/2016
Date Finished - 3/9/2016
*I was sent an ebook copy of this book in trade for an honest review, as part of a blog tour.*
I do have a full review up for this book, which I will link below, therefore I'm not going to talk too much about this book.
This book series is about a small group named Rhodi, who's job it is to protect Cresentia, a dystopian world. They are ancient assassins, who are slowly dying out, so when they get two new Rhodi, they are more than excited.
There are two twins, Dylan and Devin, who when fleeing where they used to live with their parents, get into a car crash. The twins manage to escape alive and are left to forage for themselves. When they are caught stealing food from the Rhodi, they get chosen to be the new Rhodi members and they accept. However, things aren't as easy as they seem as they have many physical fights as well as mental ones. This book does feature scenes of self-harm and how one of the characters overcomes this and her own personal fight.
Overall, I really loved this book. It's full of action and adventure. It's funny at times, but is also serious and I think this book dealt with the self-harm issues very well.
The characters all have something unique about them, though this sometimes causes them to clash, however the character relationships develop very well throughout the book and you get to see their true feeling about each other.
My favourite thing about this book has to be the character relationships, especially the one between Dylan and Talidan and how much it develops throughout the story and the bond they develop by the end.
I really loved this book and thought it was a great start to the series! I would thoroughly recommend this book.

Rhodi Rising by Megan Linski
Date Started - 7/9/2016
Date Finished - 16/9/2016
*I was sent an ebook copy of this book by the author in trade for an honest review*
This is the sequel to Rhodi's Light, which I do have a full review on (linked above).
I also have a full review for this book, which is ready to post, but I'm not yet sure whether it'll be up before or after this post. However, when it's up, I'll make sure to link it down below.
I did also enjoy Rhodi Rising, but just not as much as Rhodi's Light.
The characters were once again amazing and I loved the addition of the new characters and thought they fitted very well into the story.
Just like Rhodi's Light, there were quite a few twists and turns, which I loved. However, I just didnt seem to enjoy the book as much and felt as though I was pushing myself (a teeny tiny bit) to finish it at times. However, this could be down to the fact that I was still feeling a bit reading-slumpish or maybe I had just set my expectations way too high.
I would still recommend this series as I do love them and really want more people to as well. They have really good storylines, lots of action and brilliant writing; overall just a great series.
If you do want to know more about the books, I do have full reviews for both book 1 and book 2, which will be linked somewhere on this post.

FULL REVIEW -
Super Awkward by Beth Garrod
Date Started - 22/10/2016
Date Finished - 30/10/2016
I don't really know how to explain what this book is about and don't want to explain wrong, so I'm just going to insert the synopsis:
I, Bella Fisher, am absolutely WINNING at FAILING at life.
1. I once got my tongue stuck to a box of Calippos in a supermarket.
2. I accidentally called my geography teacher Mum. Twice. He wasn't impressed.
3. I'm a geek. And not in a geek-chic kind of way, but in a secretly-caring-about-failing-maths-and-science way.
4. I always fail maths and science.
So it figures that when I meet the FITTEST BOY IN THE WORLD, Zac, I'm doing solo star jumps. While dressed as a cereal box.
(NOTE TO SELF, fancy dress = HE-WILL-NEVER-EVER-FANCY-ME dress.)
Now I've got to somehow persuade Zac to come to prom with me while avoiding my evil ex and dealing with a secret so mega-awks I want to Ctrl-Z my brain... What could go wrong?
Oh yeah, that's right. Absolutely everything.
I randomly picked this book up when book shopping for my bithday and decided to give it a go. I hadn't really heard anything about it, but it reminded me a bit of Geek Girl (by Holly Smale) and Waiting For Callback (by Honor&Perdita Cargill).
Basically this was one of those funny contemporary books, that I end up just absolutely falling in love over. I don't currently have a review up for Super Awkward, but if that's something you guys would want (or maybe a mini-review) then just let me know and that's something I can easily sort out.
Like I said above, when I read the synopsis to this book, it instantly made me think of Geek Girl and Waiting For Callback (which I love)!
By the way, when I say this I don't at all mean that Beth copied them or that the other authors copied each other, because the books are still completely different, it just to me made me think of that funny YA contemporary genre that those other books fit into as well.
The main character is called Bella and I absolutely loved her character and was genuinely interested in what would happen to her. She made me laugh at times, but at other moments had me hiding in embarrassment for her.
The writing style was also great and fitted with Bella and the story very well.
I would definitely recommend this book, especially to lovers of Geek Girl and Waiting For Callback etc. They are still different book and the main characters are unique to each other, but for me they just fit into the same YA contemporary band.
I hope that one day there is a sequel or novella to Super Awkward, as I really did love it and that would definitely be something that I'd be interested in reading iof there was to be one.

I then also read two Wattpad stories (both fanfiction). I didn't know whether you guys would be interested in them or not, but I thought I'd include them anyway. Don't worry next month, there will be Wattpad stories other than fanfiction.
Anyways I read:
