REVIEW Background Info/Introduction Rhodi Rising is the sequel to Rhodi's Light (which I absolutely loved!) and I was so excited to get into this book following the ending of Rhodi's Light. At the end of Rhodi's Light we find out that Dylan and Devin are being taken away to some place in the mountains to go into hiding with their Aunt, Uncle and their cousin, Tristan. However, when the Hunter's Guild discover where they're staying, the twins and Tristan have no choice but to run in an attempt to get back to their old home where their Rhodi masters live. They meet some new people along the way, but when they get home, things aren't right and the people they were most looking forward to seeing aren't there. The rest of the book follows the twins and Tristan (along with their new friends) trying to discover what really happened when they were gone and how they're going to fix it. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - I was so looking forward to reading Rhodi Rising, but I feel as if I was left feeling a teeny bit disappointed. I'm not sure if it was just me, but I did seem to find it harder to get into the story this time round, BUT once I got a bit in, the action started and the book kicked off! The action scenes once again were brilliant and had me on the edge of my seat. I also really enjoyed the fact that Megan kept Saffron involved throughout the story and gave her a little sub-plot as well with the twins trying to find out about her parents in trade for the location of the weapons. I think that was a great idea and hope that it's not the last of Saffron! There were also a few new characters introduced in Rhodi Rising. Two of the main ones being Enfys and Jenna, who I really loved! Both of them were so unique and just great additions to the book. With Jenna's chattiness and Enfys' mysteriousness, these siblings just added to the greatness of the plot. Once again, Rhodi Rising did mention Dylan's depression and her self-harming. I don't think it was mentioned as much as it was in Rhodi' Light, but it is still there. I also like Enfys because of how kind he was to Dylan when he saw her scars, even though he barely knew her. To sort of go with that, the character relationships were once again great and I loved how easily Enfys and Jenna both fitted in so easily with the other characters. Also, Dylan and Talidin's character relationship just makes me ughh.. just the best! Just like Devin and Tavana's as well! Overall, I did really enjoy Rhodi Rising apart from a few minor issues. I think I may have liked Rhodi's Light slightly more, but so far the series is one of my favourites! I'm super excited for book 3 because I've heard a few people say it's their favourite out of the trilogy. When I do eventually read it, I'll try to get a review up! I'm not sure on a rating but it's around a 3.75-4 ish/5. BYE!
